North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks have announced another new anime acquisition – Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East – for the North American market. Overseen by Chief Director Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuoki: Dawn of the Shinsengumi) and directed by Mitsue Yamasaki, this series features character designs by Hiromi Kato (Needless), sound direction by Hozumi Goda (Vampire Knight) and music by Hitomi Kuroishi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion).
The series is set to be made available through digital outlets soon, with a home video release slated for later this year. There is no word on if they have plans to dub this in English or release it with only the Japanese dub – both options the companies considers with their releases.
