Having released Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) earlier this year, it seems that Siren Visual were not content with JUST releasing the English dubbed first season…. therefore have just announced their intentions to release Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, the second season next year. The first season contained answer arcs, which sole purpose was to get you hypothesizing your own ideas about what might be the cause of the murders and time loop… whereas second two contains answer arcs which reveals the answers to you while getting you to formulate more questions.
Never before released outside of Japan, this title will be a Siren Visual anime exclusive similar to that of Welcome to Irabu’s Office and Dennou Coil. The season will be broken up into two sets of 12 episodes each, with Part 1 hitting stores in March and Part 2 following shortly after. Due to complications surrounding the release of When They Cry – including the fact the original dubber Geneon Entertainment is no longer active, there will only be the Japanese dub included…. but in consolation you do get to enjoy figuring out the many mysteries of Hinamizawa and knowing that Australia will be the only area outside of Japan to get an English release!
