Yesterday I reported that .hack//TheMovie has been announced for cinematic release in January of next year. Well, I would like to improve on that statement a bit. Upon the release of the series, it will come on a hybrid blu-ray disc that will also include a game on it. Information about this game is currently very limited, however I for one welcome the chance for .hack// to make a comeback on the Playstation 3, after its run on both the Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable.
Also, according to the following twitter post by CyberConnect 2 (Through the Piroshi_CC2 account), this game will be more then just a quick last minute game to encourage people to purchase the movie. I have my doubts on if they will do another multi-parter, but I look forward to what they have on offer.
