In the end, I wasn’t intending on even touching this series as it more or less looked like a series that was going to be 110% Fanservice and -10% storyline….. I actually did watch this episode in the end, and my fears were realized, this is without a doubt a series for fanservice. Featuring 19 girls in total with ages increasing by one year of age at a time, this series is all about them, their mother and their single brother (Yes… one guy… twenty females) go on a nice family trip to the beach, hot springs and the like…. all the while the single guy (I havent bothered memorizing his name, so he is hereforth known as Onii-san) has decided to come along and seemingly do some family video recording….
Oh dear… this isn’t sounding good….
Unfortunately this series does everything that Sister Princess seemed to do, with all the girls vying for Onii-san’s attention and doing everything you would expect in a fanservice series and cramming it into a 30 minute long episode. Here is the thing that surprises me…. the design quality isn’t bad at all (One of the better designed fanservice series by far)…. doubled by the fact that this has seemingly also been released for 3D televisions as well. Generally I have found that most fanservice series do try too hard or too little with the character and environment designs, usually failing in one or both of them, but this series does it well. As well, I cannot fault the rather enjoyable OP/ED Sequence Songs….
Argh!
and please don’t get me started on just how possible it is to give birth to 19 children in one year increments…. Asexual Reproduction anyone?
