With armour being mere decorative equipment in Blade & Soul rather than something players need to spend hours mixing and matching to get the best stats from, the full-body outfits on offer both in-game and through the Hongmoon Store cash shop can be chosen by players based on personal preference and budget alone. Costumes and accessories seem to be a big seller for North American publisher NCSoft, with the publisher having already released a number of paid costumes to the public since taking servers live in early-January 2016.
A few days ago, NCSoft released another set of two costumes to the Hongmoon Store. These are the Demon Maw (Pictured Left) and White Sandraider (Pictured Middle). There is also a third new costume titled “Best Friend” (Pictured Right), which is one of the random drops available in the Hongmoon Friendship Chest. Purchasing the Hongmoon Friendship Chest requires the use of Hongmoon Coins rather than NCoins, which can be received by selling in-game currency through the in-game currency exchange. This is an automatic conversion created by a second party purchasing in-game currency using NCoin. Update: Seems like the Hongmoon Friendship Chest is no longer available for sale at this time.
These new costumes are being made available before the games second major update – Unchained – launches on March 2nd 2016. This update will unlock the Warlock class for Jin and Lyn characters, the addition of an eighth character slot (with everyone receiving one slot extra for free), the opening of the Naryu Labyrinth (6-player and 4-player versions), Floor 8 of Mushin’s Tower being unlocked and a wealth of other features, balancing changes and updates to be announced in the patch notes when they are available.
