The Made in Abyss film series is already looking ahead. Alongside the theatrical release of “Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery” on Friday 23 October 2026, production has been confirmed for Part 2 of the movie series, with further details to come. To mark the release, Kadokawa Animation has shared a second key visual has also been revealed. It shows characters appearing for the first time in the series: the White Whistle Srajo, known as the “Sovereign of Mystery”, and the cave raiding team she leads, “The Curse Fleet / Hail Hex”.
Five more cast members have also been announced. Nana Mizuki voices Srajo, Akeno Watanabe voices Nishagora, Shunsuke Takeuchi voices Yataramar, Nao Toyama voices Sherumi and Yume Miyamoto voices Menae. Details on some of the new characters have been shared as well:
Srajo (VA: Nana Mizuki)
A White Whistle who leads the cave raiding team “The Curse Fleet / Hail Hex.”
She goes by the title “Sovereign of Mystery” but doesn’t seem very mysterious.
Nishagora (VA: Akeno Watanabe)
A cave raider belonging to “The Curse Fleet / Hail Hex.” Born of the unique lineage known as “Beast-guise”. A dangerous individual boasting extremely high survivability, able to maintain her physical form across various environments.
Yataramar (VA: Shunsuke Takeuchi)
A cave raider belonging to “The Curse Fleet / Hail Hex”. A large man of polite bearing.
Sherumi (VA: Nao Toyama)
& Menae (VA: Yume Miyamoto)
A pair of sister-brother twins belonging to “The Curse Fleet / Hail Hex.” They possess a whistle not recognized by the cave raider regulations. The both of them together are referred to as “Sheru-Mena”.
