Warrior Cats: Clans Of The Forest Out Now On PC and Consoles

The Warrior Cats novel series has a new game adaptation. Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, an action-adventure RPG from TRAILMARK Games and Four Trees Media, is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.

Rather than retelling the books, the game tells a brand-new story set in the Warrior Cats world, featuring well-known cats and locations from the franchise alongside an original cast created for the game. Players start by designing their own Warrior Cat, choosing fur patterns, colours, tails, whiskers, ears, eyes, markings, and more, then pick a Clan to join.

That choice matters, as four Clans each have their own full story campaign. Each campaign is shaped by that Clan’s culture, conflicts and traditions, with its own prophecies, rivalries, characters and challenges. Within those campaigns, player choices shape the story, opening up different paths and quests, while the overarching mystery centres on StarClan’s secrets.

Day-to-day Clan life includes foraging and crafting, building bonds with allies and rising through the ranks. A player’s actions affect their relationships, rivalries, and reputation within the Clans, and they can help their Clan grow over time. Along the way, players can meet cats from the books, form alliances and learn from mentors.

Combat is turn-based and relies on timing, tactics, and specialised Clan moves. Players build their own move set, experiment with combat stances, target enemy weaknesses and call on ancestor attacks granted by StarClan to take on rivals, predators and bosses.

The game world spans forests, marshes, moorlands, and sacred landmarks from the series, from Clan territories to the Moonpool and the Island. Hidden paths, secret areas and environmental puzzles are scattered throughout.

Away from the action, each player has a den they can decorate with unlockable items such as bedding and scratching posts. Friends can drop by through asynchronous online den visits to see both the den and the player’s customised warrior.

A Feral Edition is also available on all three platforms. It adds eight extra elements for the Cat Creator, 12 wearable accessories, a cel-shaded character skin, four cat poses for photo mode and four photo mode effects.
