The cards are only part of the fight in Beatrix. Tambù Digital’s dark fantasy roguelite deckbuilder has an updated demo available on Steam for Steam Next Fest, which runs from 19 to 26 October 2026.
Set in a dark, stylised take on Dante’s Hell, Beatrix combines card-based combat with the ability to build and reshape the battlefield. Alongside assembling their deck, players construct and manipulate the grid itself, and can bring enemy cards over to their side by surrounding them. Field effects called Canons add another layer, changing the rules of play and opening up opportunities for combinations.
Tambù Digital, which is both developing and publishing the game, is aiming Beatrix at players who enjoy a demanding strategic challenge. Success depends on planning several moves ahead, experimenting and getting to grips with the numbers behind each decision, particularly how cards, positioning and battlefield effects work together.
The updated demo is focused on making the game more approachable and polished. A reworked onboarding experience and tutorial help new players learn the mechanics, and progression has been adjusted to improve the flow of each run. Battles have also received updates and fixes, and the demo includes a range of interface refinements, performance optimisations and audio improvements. A new demo trailer has also been released.
