Ratatan has reached the end of its journey through Early Access. Developer Ratata Arts and publisher Game Source Entertainment have released the 1.0 version of the rhythm roguelike action game, adding the final chapters needed to bring its story to a close… at least for now.
In this game, players lead the titular Ratatan and her companion Cobun into an unknown world, issuing commands in time with the music. Those rhythm-based commands sit on top of roguelike action, with each run pushing the pair further into the adventure.
The headline additions in version 1.0 are Chapters 3 and 4, which introduce the game’s final world and a powerful final boss, allowing players to see Ratatan’s story through to the end. The Dark Ratatan, the series of rivals who until now have only appeared one at a time, also come together for the first time, bringing tougher battles with them. Alongside the new content, the team has added new features and made a range of adjustments aimed at improving performance.
