Las Vegas is the new front line in Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC, with Season 5 now underway through its first phase, Siege of Las Vegas. The phase adds two new maps and a faster Battle Royale variant, with a limited-time Dead Space scenario set to follow later this month.
Both new maps share the Las Vegas theme, though they take players to very different places. Vegas Strip turns the city’s famous strip into a battleground, while Area 51 heads out past the neon lights to the perimeter of the secretive facility.
For REDSEC players, Phase 1 also introduces Rapid Royale, a condensed version of Battlefield’s Battle Royale with shorter rounds and fewer players in each match. Survival is still the aim, with the last squad standing taking the win, but the mode adds a twist to getting back into the fight. Eliminating enemies earns redeploy tokens that let players return to the match, although the number of kills required to earn each token rises as the match goes on.
The season also crosses over with another franchise. From 20 October to 7 November, a limited-time scenario will draw on Dead Space, with environments inspired by the 2023 remake and exclusive cosmetics for players to unlock.
