Stardust: Wish of Witch is preparing to leave Steam behind as its only home. Publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Kniv Studio have confirmed the turn-based tactical RPG is coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The game follows two very different companions. Star is a cheerful warrior set on becoming a hero, while Yu is a reserved, analytical mage. What starts as ordinary work at their local adventurer’s guild turns into a far bigger journey as the pair begin uncovering ancient secrets of the cosmos, in a world where forgotten magic is at odds with modern ambition. Along the way they meet a cast of allies, as well as mysterious rival factions who are all competing for a star said to grant wishes.
Combat takes place on grid-based battlefields, where reading an opponent’s moves and responding with counters and combos is central to winning fights. Character abilities are handled through a card-based skill system layered on top of the turn-based strategy, giving players room to customise how each party member fights. Silver Lining Interactive pitches the overall approach as a mix of classic 16-bit RPG influences and more modern combat mechanics. The story is presented through hand-made pixel art and animated cutscenes.
Stardust: Wish of Witch is available now on PC via Steam.
