SEGA has released a free content update for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, adding Amigo, a character from the Samba de Amigo series, as a playable character.
The update is tied to a time-limited in-game event that has now begun and will run until Monday, 14 September 2026, at 9:59am AEST. During the event period, players can earn festival points that can be exchanged for decals, gadgets and other items.
The free Samba de Amigo content drop includes the following:
- Amigo as a playable character
- An “Amigo (Classic)” skin, featuring Amigo’s signature sombrero
- Amigo’s vehicle, the Locomotive de Amigo
- A set of character-specific emotes and sounds
- The 2023 version of “Vamos a Carnaval,” used during the Final Lap
- “Let’s Find and Shake It,” available through the game’s Jukebox feature
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
