Friendship Island is preparing for a refined gathering next month with Tea Garden, a new downloadable content expansion for Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Sunblink and Sanrio have announced that the DLC will launch on 6 August 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, priced at $9.99 USD or local equivalent. Its content will also be integrated into the Apple Arcade version of the game.
Tea Garden sends players back to Merry Meadows after mysterious invitations begin appearing for the Tea Garden Ball. Although nobody appears to know who is hosting the event, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pochacco, Kuromi, Chococat and other Sanrio characters must still prepare for what promises to be an elaborate island gathering.
The expansion will introduce more than 15 narrative quests focused on the preparations for the ball, with romance, mischief and secrets forming part of the new storyline. Players will also be able to unlock 15 new regency-inspired clothing items, including bonnets, bows and formal outfits. More than 300 clothing variants will be available, alongside over 30 new outfits that can be worn by Sanrio friends and visiting characters.
Food preparation will expand through the addition of two new stations, the Teapot and the Tiered Tray. These stations will support 38 new recipes covering tea, scones, sandwiches and other dishes suited to a garden party. New decorative options will allow players to transform cabins into personalised Tea Gardens. Available items will include hedge mazes, gazebos and a selection of other decorations themed around the expansion’s formal outdoor setting.
