Bluepoch has confirmed that Reverse: 1999 will roll out its Atomic Heart collaboration on 23 July, an update notable for being the first in the game’s history to launch simultaneously for players around the world on PC and mobile.
The crossover pulls the time-travelling strategic RPG into the retrofuturistic, utopian setting of the first-person shooter Atomic Heart. It comes with two new playable characters and an original story built around Atomic Heart’s alternate history premise, with the humanoid robot bodyguard The Twins and the repair cabinet antagonist Nora both receiving fresh narratives for the occasion. The collab runs in both directions. Reverse: 1999 characters including Vertin, X, Madam Lucy and Mesmer Jr. make the trip to Facility 3826, the world of Atomic Heart, as part of the new adventure.
The Twins arrives as a summonable collaboration character with a dedicated banner and bonus reward system. Bluepoch is billing them as the game’s first dual-Afflatus character, a DPS unit able to deal damage across two Afflatus types while equipping two exclusive Psychubes at once, which grants them two full sets of base stats and two sets of Psychube effects. Existing characters are also picking up themed cosmetics that borrow from the shooter’s retrofuturist look, with a free Brimley garment among the items on offer.
The associated Analysis of Metallic Dramaturgy banner carries its own reward structure. Reaching 100 summons for the first time lets players choose between a copy of The Twins or a Suitcase Impression, with four further reward choices available at 160, 220 and 280 pulls across the banner’s run.
Suitcase Impressions are a new form of six-star character selector, covering all six-star characters in the Standard Pool as of the Atomic Heart version. They come in five types: Mineral, Star, Plant, Beast, and Spirit plus Intellect.
Nora, meanwhile, can be picked up at no cost. The four-star character is obtainable through in-game activities rather than the summoning system. Additionally, the giveaway includes a free monthly pass and more than 110 free pulls, plus additional rewards.
