Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that SILENT HILL: Townfall will launch for PlayStation 5 on 24 September 2026. A new trailer has also been released, offering a closer look at the game’s setting, story and first person horror gameplay.
Developed by Screen Burn and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami, SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full length, standalone psychological horror game in the long-running horror series, set in Scotland.
The story follows Simon Ordell, who is called back to the island of St. Amelia to “put things right”. Once there, he finds a town covered in heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at peace. As Simon explores further, he begins to uncover fragments of the past and his own connection to the island and its inhabitants.
Played entirely from the first-person perspective, Simon will need to explore, evade threats and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools. One of these is the CRTV, a pocket television that can tune into unstable signals. The game aims to provide a combination of tense evasion, frantic combat and narrative driven puzzles, with the mystery of St. Amelia slowly surfacing as Simon searches for the truth.
