Developer and publisher Cygames has confirmed that an official open beta test for the upcoming action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is scheduled to take place later this month. This testing phase follows the previous closed beta and precedes the full game launch, which is currently set for 9 July 2026 across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
The open beta is slated to begin on 24 April 2026 and will conclude on 27 April 2026. Players interested in participating can begin preloading the beta client from 23 April 2026 at 7:00 am UTC. The primary goal of this test is to evaluate game performance and verify network stability under load.
Participants will have access to four specific quests during the trial period. While the first three quests are available from the start, the fourth mission, titled Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer, will unlock only after the initial objectives are met. This final quest introduces the new Summons mechanic, allowing players to call upon allies for assistance in battle. It also features Primal Burst, an upgraded version of the Full Burst system that requires synchronized coordination from the entire party.
Returning from the closed beta period, the character Beatrix will once again be available as a playable ally.
In addition to the gameplay test, Cygames is releasing supplemental material to help new players understand the series’ lore. An introductory movie has been produced to summarize the narrative of the original Granblue Fantasy and connect it to the opening events of Endless Ragnarok. You can watch that full video below:
