Square Enix has reconfirmed that Patch 7.5 for Final Fantasy XIV Online, titled Trail to the Heavens, will be released on 28 April 2026. The announcement was made during the most recent Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, where Producer and Director Naoki “YoshiP” Yoshida provided a look at the various content additions and system updates planned for the title. This also saw YoshiP share a new trailer for the game, which is available to view below.
The upcoming update introduces a volume of new content – including staples such as new main scenario quests and a new dungeon and trial (Normal and Extreme versions). This update also includes the third and final instalment of the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series, titled Windurst: The Third Walk. For those seeking higher difficulty challenges, a new Ultimate raid and an Unreal trial against Shinryu at level 100 are also included in the patch.
A major addition to the game’s mechanics is the Beastmaster limited job, which allows players to capture and summon various creatures to assist them in battle. Further gameplay updates include an expansion to Occult Crescent featuring new zones and phantom jobs, as well as a new planet for Cosmic Exploration known as Auxsia. Additional features such as allied society capstone quests, new custom deliveries for Tiisol Ja, and further adventures with Hildibrand are also part of the release.
System-level improvements are scheduled for housing, including increased furnishing limits and new interior designs. The armoire will see an expansion to its storage capacity, and the dye system will receive further updates. Other miscellaneous changes include updates to the companion chocobo system, crafting, and activities within the Gold Saucer.
In addition to the game updates, a promotional collaboration with the restaurant chain Jollibee is set to begin on 21 April 2026 across the United States and Canada. By purchasing specific promotional meals or limited-edition merchandise through Complex.com, players can earn an in-game Eat Chicken emote. In the United States, a themed Blue Raspberry Aether drink with Crystal Boba will also be available. To celebrate the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Anaheim, the local Jollibee store will feature a themed takeover on 24 April and 25 April 2026.
