The underground corridors of New York City serve as the setting for QH Studios’s Subway Invasion, which has officially launched on Steam.
Subway Invasion see’s players step into the role of a lone security guard tasked with the high-stakes objective of protecting a train from an alien incursion. Set entirely within the narrow and oppressive environments of the city’s subway system, the game focuses on managing hostile pressure from multiple directions. Armed with only a pistol and a finite supply of resources, survival depends on the efficient use of equipment and the surrounding terrain.
The gameplay is built around a structure of escalating waves, where the difficulty and intensity of alien encounters increase as the session progresses. Various types of extra-terrestrial enemies are introduced throughout the game, each requiring different tactical responses and precise positioning. To gain a temporary advantage, players can interact with environmental hazards and structural elements, such as locking doors to create chokepoints or directing the flow of the enemy advance.
A progression system allows players to earn points by surviving these encounters, which can then be spent on various upgrades. these enhancements are intended to broaden combat strategies, allowing for experimentation as the alien threat becomes more formidable.
