Infold Games has released the Version 2.4 update for Infinity Nikki, titled The Forest Need Not Listen. This update introduces a time-loop narrative structure and an expanded gameplay experience that includes new combat options and a building management system.
The narrative of this chapter is set in the Misty Forest, where characters Nikki and Momo experience a repeating sequence involving a tragic funeral, the tale drawing upon dark fairy tale themes, featuring figures such as the Big Dark Wolf and the Mad Red Riding Hood. Players are required to navigate this loop to uncover the origin of the curse affecting the area.
New combat and exploration features have been added, including the ability for Momo to fight alongside Nikki. Momo can adopt different roles, such as close-range or ranged combat, depending on the cloak equipped. These abilities can be upgraded as the player progresses. A new boss encounter with the Scavenger has also been added, featuring multiple phases and transformations within the battle arena.
The update introduces the 5-Star Resonance Outfit, She Is Wildfire, which is inspired by the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Equipping this outfit provides the [Hunting Elegy: Battle Companion] ability, allowing Nikki to summon the Moon-Hunting Wolf for both combat assistance and world traversal.
A construction and management system has been launched in the Itzaland area. Utilizing the [Itzaland Blueprint: Construction] ability, players can build and customize businesses like beauty salons, drink shops, and baths. This system involves managing these establishments to generate income and unlock rewards. Additionally, a faction system allows players to recruit and train NPCs to help run these shops, providing new progression paths linked to styling challenges.
