Square Enix has officially expanded the platform availability for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The enhanced release of the reimagining of classic RPG Final Fantasy VII is available for purchase on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC – following the PlayStation 5 exclusive release a few years ago.
This release marks a shift in strategy for Square Enix regarding the exclusivity of the remake project. The publisher has confirmed that the entire Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy is planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. This includes the third and final entry in the series, which is currently in development.
Coinciding with this launch is the introduction of a “Streamlined Progression” feature. This optional mode is designed to reduce difficulty barriers for players who wish to prioritize the storyline. Enabling this feature grants the following advantages:
- Unlimited HP and MP.
- Unlimited Limit breaks and ATB gauges during combat.
- Fixed damage output of 9,999.
- Simplified acquisition of weapon abilities.
This is not exclusive to just the new releases either. Square Enix has released a patch for the existing PlayStation 5 and PC versions to implement these options for current owners.
A free demo is now available for the new platforms, allowing players to experience the opening segment of the game. Save data from this demo can be carried over to the full retail version.
