Based on the 20th Century Fox animated film from 1997 and several years following its Broadway debut, Anastasia the Musical is set to finally commence its Australian tour at the Melbourne Regent Theatre this week for a limited season run. To mark the impending opening, producers Crossroads Live Australia and Opera Australia have released ticket sales for the final dates in Melbourne, with the first leg of the tour to conclude on 20 February 2026 – before heading to Perth’s Crown Theatre in March, Sydney Lyric Theatre in April and Adelaide’s Festival Theatre in August – with more legs of the tour to perhaps be confirmed at a later date.
The Australian debut season of Anastasia the Musical is set to feature Georgina Hopson in the lead role of Anya, a young woman who is on a journey to discover the mystery of her past. Other members of the show’s cast include Robert Tripolino as Dmitry, Joshua Robson as Gleb, Rodney Dobson as Vlad, Rhonda Burchmore as Countess Lily and Nancye Hayes AM as the Dowager Empress.
Ticketing information for all states in the Australian tour of Anastasia the Musical can be found via its official website.
