Indie studio Anima Project has set a 7 November 2025 launch for Anima: Gate of Memories I and II Remaster on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. While the Switch is not supported at launch, a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 edition is planned for 2026.
This release rebuilds both Anima: Gate of Memories and its companion story The Nameless Chronicles into a single package, with enhanced visuals, rebalanced combat and refined gameplay from its original counterpart. A playable demo is available now on Steam, arriving ahead of the game’s participation in Steam Next Fest from 13 to 20 October. Progress from the demo will carry over to the full game on release. A PlayStation 5 demo is also on the way.
Positioned as a third person action RPG, the remaster follows two intersecting paths. One thread pairs a legendary monster with a girl who cannot recall her past, while the other focuses on an immortal soul cursed to wander forever. Their stories collide around a shadow conflict in which both take leading roles on opposing sides. The world draws from the Anima Beyond Fantasy tabletop RPG, with fast paced combat and branching outcomes shaped by player choice.
