Square Enix has revealed Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, a new mobile entry in the long running RPG series planned for release on iOS and Android in 2026. Players can pre register now for an October closed beta test via TestFlight on iOS and Google Play on Android.
Positioned as a roguelite RPG rather than a mainline entry in the series, Dragon Quest Smash/Grow has players plow through waves of monsters to build power before unleashing signature Coup de Grâce attacks. Runs are shaped by choosing random Blessings that modify growth and tactics, with the publisher emphasizing that no two quests play out the same.
The game’s closed beta test is set to run from 14 October 2025 until 21 October 2025, with pre-registrations available via the game’s official website until 2 October 2025.
