A second trailer has been released by Pony Canyon for Mechanical Marie, the upcoming anime adaptation of Aki Akimoto’s romantic comedy manga. The series is scheduled to stream worldwide from October 2025 and introduces viewers to a covert “mechanical maid” whose secret could cost her life if discovered.
Mechanical Marie follows Marie, a former prodigy martial artist who disguises herself as an emotionless automaton to serve Arthur, a wealthy heir who avoids human contact and is routinely targeted by assassins. While keeping up the façade, Marie protects Arthur from constant threats, setting the stage for a guarded romance that mixes undercover action with school life and family intrigue.
The new trailer seeks to highlight the dynamic between Marie and Arthur, teases a wider supporting cast, and previews the opening theme Honto to Uso performed by HARUTYA. It also sees the reveal of multiple new members of the voice cast, including Nao Toyama as Marie and Haruki Ishiya as Arthur, alongside Saima Nakano as Bridget, You Taichi as Isabel, Shuntaro Hara as Toby, Kappei Yamaguchi as Carl, and Rieko Takahashi as Charlotte.
Bridget is a classmate of Marie and member of the Arthur fan club, Isabel is a relative who proclaims herself Arthur’s fiancée and views Marie as a rival, Toby is a senior who keeps chickens through the Animal Ecology Club, Carl is the lone relative who treats Arthur kindly, and Charlotte is Carl’s wife. These roles appear frequently in the trailer’s school and mansion sequences.
Staffing places the adaptation with director Junji Nishimura, assistant director Sachiko Kanno, series composition by Mariko Kunisawa, and character designs by Yoko Kikuchi. Music is handled by Yasuharu Takanashi and Johannes Nilsson of Team MAX, with art direction by Kenichi Kurata, color design by Aiko Matsuyama, photography direction by Tomomi Saito, editing by Shun Tokuda, and prop design by jimao. Animation production is credited to Zero G and Lieber, with music production by Pony Canyon.
