Square Enix has confirmed that the second Closed Beta Test for its multiplayer murder mystery action game, Killer Inn, will run as a Steam playtest from Saturday 4 October 2025 to Tuesday 14 October 2025.
Those who took part in July’s first Closed Beta Test are eligible to join CBT 2 automatically. Newly registered players will be notified about their participation on Wednesday 1 October 2025. If you are in the latter category, you can register your interest via Steam.
Updates in CBT2 will be informed by the feedback by and experiences of players in CBT1. Changes cover a reassessment of some game design elements, balance adjustments and the addition of new features. Player feedback will again be gathered during this round to further refine the game.
Updates and additional details will be shared at a later date. Meanwhile, visitors to Tokyo Game Show can also preview the CBT 2 build at the Square Enix booth. Attendees who play Killer Inn on the show floor will receive a CBT 2 invitation code that allows them to join the public test.
