Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for August, offering a diverse trio of titles for subscribers beginning Tuesday, 5 August. This month’s collection includes the darkly atmospheric Lies of P, the open-world survival challenge DayZ, and the anime-fueled brawler My Hero One’s Justice 2. More information on each of the games are below:
Lies of P | PS5, PS4
This soulslike action game takes an unexpected twist on Carlo Collodi’s classic The Adventures of Pinocchio. Players guide Pinocchio through the city of Krat, now consumed by madness and hostile puppets, in search of the elusive Mr. Geppetto. Survival depends on mastering a variety of weapons and swappable Legion Arms, each with unique abilities. As you navigate this grim world, your choices—including whether to lie—will shape Pinocchio’s path toward becoming human.
DayZ | PS4
DayZ offers a hardcore survival experience where up to 60 players must outlast not only each other but also the infected that roam the devastated landscape. With expansive maps including Chernarus and Livonia, every session brings new dangers and the challenge of permanent death—once you’re gone, you’ll have to start from scratch.
My Hero One’s Justice 2 | PS4
This 3D arena fighter, inspired by the My Hero Academia anime, lets players wield powerful Quirks in dramatic head-to-head battles across sprawling arenas. The sequel introduces new characters and dynamic combat, delivering a flashy, over-the-top take on the world of heroes and villains.
The announcement coincides with ongoing PlayStation Plus 15th anniversary celebrations, which also includes even more goodies. Starting 5 August, members can also claim a special set of 15th Anniversary Avatars at no extra cost, featuring artwork from fan-favourite games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal.
Furthermore, currently active subscribers are reminded they have until tomorrow to add Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant to their game library before the new lineup arrives.
