World of Warcraft Classic players can now step into a land long shrouded in mystery as World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic officially launches today. Following the dramatic events of Cataclysm Classic and the fall of Deathwing, adventurers are called to a new frontier – one of ancient secrets, lush landscapes, and forgotten threats.
The long-lost continent of Pandaria is now open for exploration to be rediscovered once more. From tranquil temples to war-torn valleys, players will traverse seven vibrant zones and unravel the history of a people untouched by the Sundering. As conflict erupts between the Horde and Alliance, new allies and enemies emerge in equal measure.
Mists of Pandaria Classic introduces a wealth of new features that expand the world of Azeroth. At the heart of this expansion is the addition of the Pandaren, a neutral race whose story begins on the Wandering Isle. Players will guide their Pandaren character through a unique starting experience before aligning with either the Horde or Alliance. The expansion also marks the arrival of the Monk, a new hero class that brings a fresh martial arts-inspired combat style to the game. With three specialisations – Windwalker for damage, Mistweaver for healing, and Brewmaster for tanking – Monks offer versatility and fluid gameplay across all roles.
The level cap has been raised to 90, and players will explore an array of new zones including the Jade Forest, Kun-Lai Summit, and the Dread Wastes, each offering new quests, lore, and new factions. The expansion delivers new PvE content in the form of six dungeons and three raids, plus updated Heroic dungeons, scenarios, and challenge modes for more seasoned adventurers. PvP players can look forward to Season 12 beginning soon, which introduces a new arena and two battlegrounds. Beyond combat, players can cultivate their own plot at Sunsong Ranch or engage in pet battles and other side activities.
