GungHo Online Entertainment has released Puzzle & Dragons 0, the latest addition to its long-running Puzzle & Dragons franchise. The title is now available as a free download on both the iOS App Store and Google Play – of course, with microtransactions in lieu of a one-off payment.
Puzzle & Dragons 0 maintains the series’ core gameplay loop – matching three or more coloured Orbs to clear them from the board – while integrating RPG elements such as dungeon crawling, team building, and character progression. The game is positioned as an entry point for newcomers while offering depth for existing fans.
Players can collect Crystals by clearing dungeons, which can then be used to summon and enhance creatures. These allies can be upgraded using Mana and added to teams for strategic combat. The Root Tree scroll allows players to track and catalogue collected creatures as they progress.
Puzzle & Dragons 0 also introduces a screen orientation feature, enabling players to switch between vertical and horizontal gameplay on the fly. The game supports 11 languages and is available in more than 150 countries worldwide.
Two optional premium passes are available:
Permanent Fast Pass: Doubles dungeon battle speed and grants access to an exclusive team setup designed for efficient dungeon grinding (note: this team does not include creatures and puzzle movement speed remains unchanged).
Permanent Ad Exemption Pass: Includes unlimited stamina tickets, increased Crystal drop rates and dungeon rewards, and expanded resource storage.
