Valorware has confirmed that 9th Dawn Remake is now available globally across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. This new version includes all content from the Steam release, featuring first-person mode, monster pets, dungeons, and the mini-games Fishing Survivors and Deck Rock. Mobile versions for iOS and Android are set to release on 1 May 2025. Console and Steam players can enjoy both local and online cooperative gameplay, while the mobile ports will offer online two-player support.
9th Dawn Remake reimagines the original 9th Dawn title with a host of enhancements. Players can experience the vast open world solo or with a friend, battle in first-person, engage in mini-games, and revisit familiar locations or explore new ones.
In addition to the game, Valorware has released The Book of Nameless, a 170-page novel by L.R. Gaunt set a century before the events of 9th Dawn. It follows Fen Greenbelt and Rena the Teamaster as they confront dragons, goblins, and other threats to the kingdom of Montelorne.
9th Dawn Remake introduces several key updates:
- New 2.5D graphics and improved animation
- Completely redesigned dungeons with larger maps
- A rewritten story and reworked quests
- More fluid, action-based combat
- Online and two-player local co-op
- First-person gameplay option
- Inclusion of two mini-games: Fishing Survivors and Deck Rock
Fishing Survivors offers players a light-hearted bullet-heaven experience where success in combat directly influences fishing yields. Exploration unlocks new missions and additional playable characters.
Deck Rock provides a turn-based card-building experience inspired by titles such as Slay the Spire and Roguebook. Players use collected maps from the main campaign to conquer dungeons, unlock cards, and develop their card champions.
Valorware founder and solo developer Tom Au commented on the release, sharing:

I can safely say that this is the ultimate way to experience the first step in the 9th Dawn saga.
9th Dawn Remake is available now for $15.99 on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It will be priced at $9.99 when it launches on mobile devices on 1 May 2025.
