Capcom has announced that Elena, the lighthearted, nature-loving capoeira fighter, will join the Street Fighter 6 roster on 5 June 2025. She will be available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and the newly announced Nintendo Switch 2. Known for her unique moveset inspired by capoeira, Elena’s return to the series combines martial arts, dance, music, and acrobatics, adapted with modern Street Fighter 6 mechanics.
A new stage, Elena’s Remains, is accompanying Elena’s arrival, showcasing the African plains under the moon’s glow with wildlife roaming in the background. Elena will be playable across all three major game modes: World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub.
Elena will feature two outfits upon release. Outfit 1 offers a new look emphasising her grace and athleticism, while Outfit 2 pays homage to her classic appearance from Street Fighter III: New Generation and Ultra Street Fighter IV. Outfit 2 can be unlocked by maximising theplayer’ss bond with Elena in World Tour or purchased using Fighter Coins.
Her moveset will include a range of techniques that focus on her agility and long reach:
- Rhino Horn: A quick series of kicks that propel opponents backward.
- Scratch Wheel: An anti-air move, useful for keeping enemies at bay.
- Lynx Song: A forward spinning move that is invincible to projectiles, leading into further attacks like Leopard Snap, Harvest Circle, Mallet Smash, or Lynx Whirl.
- Leopard Snap: A long-reaching attack to close distances.
- Harvest Circle: A projectile-invincible kick that launches opponents.
- Mallet Smash: An overhead kick with a low profile.
- Lynx Whirl: An additional spin extending Lynx Song, boosting follow-up moves.
- Spinning Scythe: A series of spinning kicks that can transition into other moves.
- Moon Glider: An evasive manoeuvre followed by a vertical spinning kick.
Elena’s Super Arts are:
- Meteor Volley (Level 1): An anti-air technique with a follow-up attack.
- Revival Dance (Level 2): A rapid flurry of kicks with invincibility at start-up, with the option to heal by holding down the control.
- Song of the Grasslands (Level 3): A powerful sequence of kicks inspired by nature.
AlongsideElena’ss launch, Capcom will introduce a major balance patch impacting all 25 existing characters and broader system changes. More information on this will follow closer to launch.
Elena will be available to players who own or purchase the Year 2 Character Pass, Year 2 Ultimate Pass, or Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, and can also be purchased separately using Fighter Coins. She will join M. Bison, Terry, and Mai to complete the Year 2 roster. The Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will also be released on 5 June 2025 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. This edition will feature 26 characters, 20 stages, and additional cosmetic content.
