Microsoft has announced the expansion of its Xbox app to select LG Smart TV models, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries to play games directly from their televisions, with no console required. This rollout covers 2022 OLED TVs, select 2023 models, and newer LG Smart TVs, as well as smart monitors running webOS24 or later. Support for LG’s StanbyME screen is also expected to arrive soon.
This update enables players to stream a wide range of titles from the Game Pass Ultimate library, including games such as Avowed, South of Midnight, and the upcoming Towerborne. In addition to the subscription-based catalogue, members can also stream a selection of titles they already own. Supported examples include Assassin’s Creed Shadows, NBA 2K25, and Hogwarts Legacy. Keen to see if your favourite games can be played via this manner? A full list of cloud-compatible titles can be found here.
