First Trailer Shared for Narrative Puzzle Game, Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo

WhisperGames and developer Dank Hearts have unveiled new details and the first official trailer for their upcoming title Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo. The narrative-driven puzzle game is planned for release on PC via Steam in Summer 2025.

Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo opens with a boy and a girl waking up in a sealed underground tunnel, their memories missing and the water steadily rising. Their only path to survival lies in solving cryptic puzzles and piecing together their lost pasts. The experience promises to blend traditional escape-room tension with a story that is both emotional and character-focused, as players guide six teenagers through a decaying metropolis while confronting themes of trauma, identity, and memory.

The game seeks to offer players an estimated 15 to 20 hours of gameplay, incorporating a wide variety of puzzle mechanics ranging from colour-matching and music theory to courtroom-style logic sequences. Each of the six characters’ stories intertwine and unfold within surreal, dreamlike environments that visually reflect their inner worlds. At launch, Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo will support multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
