Offering something a little bit different following their release of Farming Simulator 25 Collector’s Edition on the PC, Strictly Limited Games has officially announced Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition, a unique retro release developed in collaboration with GIANTS Software. This new adaptation of the long-running farming franchise is designed for Mega Drive/Genesis-compatible consoles and will be available in limited collectible formats starting 14 May 2025.
The aforementioned Collector’s edition featured a retro cartridge-style version of the game that resonated strongly with fans and collectors. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, GIANTS Software and Strictly Limited have teamed up to deliver a dedicated 16-bit experience as a standalone product.
Two collector-focused editions will be available exclusively through the Strictly Limited Store:
- Limited Edition: Launching 14 May 2025, priced at €49.99
- Deluxe Edition: Releasing in July 2025, priced at €69.99 and featuring additional collectible content
Both versions will come with an exclusive green cartridge, limited to just 1,000 units worldwide. These green cartridges are exclusive to the Strictly Limited Store and will not be reissued. In addition to these exclusive editions, a separate retail version featuring a black cartridge will be distributed through select retail partners, including Amazon globally and VideoGamesPlus in North America. While the game content will remain the same, the cartridge colour and packaging will differentiate the retail release from the Strictly Limited editions.
