The Alters Launches in Physical Editions This June for PC, Consoles to Follow in July

Silver Lining Interactive, in partnership with 11 bit studios, has announced the physical release of The Alters, the sci-fi survival adventure game. The game will be available in both Standard and Signature Editions for PC on 13 June 2025, coinciding with its digital release. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X physical editions will follow on 18 July 2025.

The Signature Edition offers an exclusive set of collectibles designed to immerse players further in the game’s narrative themes and world-building. Housed in an oversized collector’s box featuring exclusive artwork, the edition includes:

  • A 4-pin set featuring logos from the game
  • A sci-fi sticker sheet for personalisation
  • A Molly keychain, inspired by the cloned sheep companion in the game
  • A pierogi maker, a nod to the development team’s favourite snack during production
  • A lenticular art card, showcasing shifting perspectives—central to the game’s themes

Pre-orders for the Signature Edition are available exclusively through Silver Lining Direct, the publisher’s official retail portal.

Set on a hostile alien world, The Alters follows Jan Dolski, a stranded astronaut who must survive by building a mobile base and creating alternate versions of himself—known as “Alters”—using a substance called Rapidium. Each Alter embodies a version of Jan shaped by a different life decision, contributing unique skills and perspectives.

Combining base-building, exploration, and a branching narrative, The Alters invites players to explore not just a dangerous planet, but the inner conflict and alternate identities of its protagonist. Through resource gathering, moral decision-making, and evolving relationships with each Alter, players will determine the fate of their crew—and of Jan himself.
