XR Games has officially launched BEATABLE, a rhythm game designed specifically for mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR), now available via the Meta Horizon Store. Unlike traditional rhythm titles, BEATABLE sets out to be different by requiring no controllers, no arm flailing or foot jiving. Instead, players use their real-world tables and hand gestures to tap, clap, or snap in time with the music.
The game sets out to focus on intuitive interaction, blending hand tracking with haptic feedback to create a tactile and immersive rhythm experience. Each gesture, whether striking the table, clapping, or snapping fingers, results in responsive physical feedback, making gameplay feel both grounded and engaging. Smart calibration and gesture tracking ensure accurate input, even during fast-paced sequences.
BEATABLE features a soundtrack created in collaboration with artists from Yorkshire and beyond, including contributions from 3x Platinum artist Tom Zanetti, Bhangra group RDB, and musicians such as Jamie Vice, Gamini Khurana, and Snowflake.
Commenting on the vision behind the project, XR Games CEO Bobby Thandi stated:
We didn’t want to just make another rhythm game. We wanted to push boundaries—to build something that feels natural, physical, and fun in a whole new way. BEATABLE is the result of our Creative Director’s (Chuan Liu) vision, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world.
