ATLUS has announced the release of a free demo for Persona 3 Reload, now available for download on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This follow’s the games release on consoles and PC more than a year ago – bringing the PlayStation 2 classic to new audiences.
The demo offers players the chance to experience the opening months of Persona 3 Reload, stepping into the role of a transfer student drawn into the mysterious world of the Dark Hour. This initial portion of the game includes the first major boss battle and provides an introduction to key gameplay systems. Importantly, save data from the demo will carry over to the full version, allowing players to continue their journey seamlessly should they choose to purchase the game.
During the demo, players can begin forming Social Links with classmates and other central characters, deepening relationships that influence the broader narrative. They can also explore Tartarus, a labyrinthine dungeon that changes with each visit, presenting new layouts and combat scenarios. The turn-based battle system, which emphasises strategic thinking and party customisation, is also available, allowing players to assemble and refine their team to face otherworldly threats. Persona Fusion is another element introduced in the demo, enabling the creation of new Personas to support in combat.
Persona 3 Reload reimagines the original 2006 RPG with modern visuals, a revamped user interface, enhanced audio, and a re-recorded English voice cast. You can read my full review of Persona 3 Reload HERE.
