Crunchyroll has announced that Trapezium, a pop idol drama film from the Japanese animation studio CloverWorks, is now available to stream exclusively on their platform.
Trapezium follows high school student Yu Azuma, who is determined to become an idol. In pursuit of her goal, she commits to avoiding social media and relationships, focusing entirely on her dream. To make her ambition a reality, she sets out to form an idol group by finding three other girls from different areas of her prefecture. However, the journey to stardom proves to be challenging, as unexpected obstacles threaten to derail everything she has worked towards.
Trapezium is based on the original novel by Kazumi Takayama and is directed by Masahiro Shinohara, whose recent work includes Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 Counterattack Arc. The film’s screenplay was written by Yuko Kakihara, and character designs by Rio. The animated film’s Japanese voice cast features Asaki Yuikawa as Yu Azuma, Hina Youmiya from Kurumi Taiga, Reina Ueda as Ranko Katori, and Haruka Aikawa as Mika Kamei, among many others.
