HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6, titled Among the Forgotten Ruins, will be available on 12 March. This update introduces new characters, gameplay features, and events, to once again expand upon the studio’s vision of an urban fantasy ARPG experience.
In this latest chapter, Proxies are tasked with securing a significant artifact linked to the Sacrifice, leading them to an exclusive auction fraught with competition from various factions, including the phantom thief syndicate Mockingbird. As tensions rise, Hugo and Vivian appear to be maneuvering closer to the Proxies, creating uncertainty about their true intentions.
Players will also uncover new revelations about Anby Demara, who was previously known as Soldier 0 and served as the leader of the Silver Squad. Anby is an S-Rank Electric Attack Agent, wielding dual swords to deal Electric damage while enhancing the CRIT DMG of allies attacking the same enemy. Joining her in this update is Trigger, an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent and an expert sniper from the Obol Squad. Trigger’s Sniper Mode allows her to evade enemy attacks and strike at the right moment while calling teammates for Quick Assist. Additionally, A-Rank Physical Stun Agent Pulchra Fellini will return in playable form this time, alongside rerun banners for S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent Burnice and S-Rank Ether Attack Agent Zhuyuan.
Version 1.6 will introduce a new boss, Geppetto, in Hollow Zero, as well as a newly unlocked Difficulty VI in Battlefront Purge. The update also brings fresh gameplay elements, including Shadow Operation in Hollow Zero, which adds battle stage effects such as damage boosts based on collected coins. A third-person shooter gameplay mode, Trigger’s TV Schedule, will allow players to engage in sniper-based missions.
Additional events include March On, Tiny Titan!, where players control a Bangboo drone, and Little Knight’s Big Charge, which offers trials for exclusive rewards, including the playable agent Pulchra.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6 will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android from 12 March 2025.
