Devolver Digital and Firepunchd Games have introduced Playgrounds, a new sandbox mode for the virtual reality title Tentacular VR. This feature, now available on Steam, allows players to unleash their creativity by designing custom islands with a range of new tools and objects.
In Playgrounds, players can build islands from scratch using over 400 objects, with options to construct structures, clone items, paint buildings, and lay down roads via the Creation Glove. Additionally, the human waypoint tool allows players to populate their islands with virtual inhabitants.
For inspiration, Playgrounds includes nine pre-built islands in its demo mode, showcasing the possibilities offered by these tools. Players can explore these islands in the LaKalma Tour to see what’s achievable before embarking on their own designs.
