The Elder Scrolls Online community is embracing the holiday spirit with a unique in-game theatrical production. Vanquish, a social player guild established in ESO in 2014, is set to perform a stage show inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
This adaptation, titled Investigator Vale: An Entangled Carol, marks the fifth anniversary of the guild’s tradition of festive stage plays. Featuring a cast and crew of eight, the production has been brought to life using the game’s housing system, incorporating over 700 items to construct the stage. The performance will run for more than two hours, showcasing original music and complete sound effects.
Now, while you would typically have to head in-game to watch this – Bethesda have worked with Vanquish to see the performance streamed live on Bethesda’s official Twitch channel on 20 December at 8:30 PM ET / 1.30 AM GMT. There are some ambitious groups in a small number of games who seek to create theatrical wonder within the confines of their game’s systems, and this is sure to be an – if not enjoyable – at least fascinating watch.
