Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced development is underway on Shadow Labyrinth, a new sci-fi action-platformer inspired by the company’s iconic Pac-Man franchise. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, the game reimagines elements of the classic arcade title in a darker, more survival-focused setting. Shadow Labyrinth is set for release in 2025 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
In Shadow Labyrinth, players assume the role of Swordsman No. 8, navigating an alien world still recovering from a devastating conflict. Accompanied by PUCK, a mysterious figure reminiscent of Pac-Man, players are tasked with escaping the planet by surviving hostile environments, defeating enemies, and consuming resources to become its apex predator.
The game seeks to integrate familiar maze-navigation elements, challenging puzzles, and fluid combat mechanics, with players gaining new abilities and uncovering deeper secrets as they progress. Expect more information to be made available about Shadow Labyrinth in the coming months.
