Earlier this year, The Plucky Squire from developer All Possible Futures and publisher Devolver Digital launched on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, – including on some of the game subscription services such as PlayStation Plus. While offering a genuinely enjoyable narrative and overall gaming experience, for seasoned players, the game’s guided approach might have felt overly structured.
To address this, a new update introduces the “Streamlined Mode,” designed to offer a more pared-back experience. This mode trims non-essential dialogue, reduces camera hints, removes certain tutorial elements, and limits interruptions in player control. For players seeking a less guided journey through Jot’s dimension-hopping adventure in the Land of Mojo, this option provides an alternative to the original mode, which remains available.
Alongside this new gameplay option, the update includes additional refinements, such as updated dialogue portraits for key characters and various bug fixes and minor improvements. The Streamlined Mode update is now available for PC players, with a console release expected soon.
