The second season of the anime Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc will soon be available worldwide on Netflix. This marks the continuation of the series, which returned in July 2024 after a 32-year hiatus.
Season 2 takes the action to the Tottori Sand Dunes, where the allied forces of Seigi and Akuma, led by Kinnikuman, face off against the elite Perfect Large Numbers Corps, including their enigmatic leader, Nemesis. The newly unveiled visual highlights this epic confrontation, featuring iconic characters such as Robin Mask, Ramenman, Warsman, and Brocken Jr.
The anime is based on Yudetamago’s original Kinnikuman manga, which featured in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987. Over the years, the franchise has sold more than 77 million copies worldwide and has inspired a sequel series, Kinnikuman II Sei, serialized since 1998. The anime’s latest adaptation, produced by Production I.G., brings back the series with updated animation and direction from Akira Sato.
Season 2’s storyline explores the fragile peace brokered between the Seigi, Akuma, and Perfect factions, which is threatened by the emergence of the Perfect Large Numbers Corps. These new antagonists challenge the treaty, prompting fierce battles around the globe. With casualties mounting, the arrival of Seigi Chojin’s Robin Mask and his allies sparks a new chapter in the conflict.
The Japanese voice cast includes Mamoru Miyano as Kinnikuman, Sumire Uesaka as Meat, and Tomokazu Seki as Ramenman, alongside many other returning and new voice actors. Yasuharu Takanashi provides the series’ music, adding to the intense atmosphere of this galactic struggle.
Expect to hear more about this anime in the coming weeks and months.
