Youth-oriented video game developer/publisher Outright Games has officially launched SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game, a new single-player sandbox adventure set in the world of the long-running Nickelodeon animated TV series turned franchise, SpongeBob SquarePants. Released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the show, the game is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Players step into the role of Patrick Star to explore the underwater world of Bikini Bottom. The game offers a range of missions featuring well-known characters like SpongeBob, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, and Plankton. Alongside a variety of quirky quests, fans will discover hidden Easter Eggs from the series and unlock costumes as they progress.
The game includes iconic locations such as The Krusty Krab, Glove World, and Jellyfish Fields, along with some new additions like the Krabby Patio and Mrs. Puff’s Destruction Derby Arena. The series’ original voice actors return, including Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick and Tom Kenny as SpongeBob.
