The Pokémon Company International has this week confirmed that their long-running Pokémon TV app and website platform will be discontinued and sunset as of 28 March 2024, with the app also no longer available to download on the iOS App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Nintendo eShop and Pokémon website immediately going forward.
While the TV anime continues to go strong, albeit no longer focused on the long-running, perpetually-10-years-old, protagonist Ash Ketchum (サトシ), it does mean that the availability of the hundreds of episodes in the series’ back catalogue is strewn between different streaming platforms.
Unfortunately… it is not as easy as accessing all episodes on one platform. The following is what The Pokémon Company International compiled – keeping in mind that this is regarding US markets and may differ from country to country:
Netflix: The Beginning (Season 1), Journeys (Seasons 23-25), Pokemon Concierge, Select Movies, and More. Netflix is also set to be the major home of the brand new series, Pokemon Horizons: The Series, following its initial airing in Japan back in April 2023.
Prime Video: Gold and Silver (Seasons 3-5), Ruby and Sapphire (Season 6-9), XY (Seasons 17-19), Select Movies.
Prime Video Channels: The Beginning (Season 2), Diamond and Pearl (Seasons 10-13), Black & White (Seasons 14-16), Sun & Moon (Seasons 20-22), Select Movies.
Hulu: XY (Seasons 17-19) and more
The ROKU Channel: Sun & Moon (Seasons 20-22)
tubi: Black & White (Seasons 14-16)
Freevee: Ruby & Sapphire (Seasons 6-9)
hoopla: Diamond and Pearl (Seasons 10-12), Select Movies
