SEGA and the development team at Creative Assembly have unveiled their official gameplay trailer for their next upcoming game – titled HYENAS. This trailer seeks to provide gamers with a glimpse of the zero-G heist action, where Hyenas navigate the Earth Vintage Plundership, aiming to secure Merch and confront the NPC security teams termed as MURFS. This two minute video escalates in a zero-G standoff.
HYENAS is a multiplayer extraction shooter which pits five teams of three players against each other (in addition to the MURFS) as they race to steal valuable pop culture memorabilia from expansive, themed Plunderships.
Gamers attending Gamescom 2023 the weekend after next will be able to get a hands-on experience with HYENAS in Hall 8.
For those unable to attend Gamescom, there’s still an opportunity to experience the game. A Closed Beta version will be available for PC gamers starting 31 August 2023 and concluding on 11 September 2023. Interested participants can register for this initial Closed Beta through Steam Playtest. This version will feature eight specialists, including two new characters: Mozie, described as the OG Hyena, and Digits, a rock-and-roll roadie. These characters will accompany others, including Prima, Commander Wright, Hero-Ki, El Silbón, Doc Hotfix, and Galaxia, as they venture into the expansive Plundership, Earth Vintage.
HYENAS is set to launch on several platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and both PC and Mac at a yet-to-be-confirmed future date.
