Kafka Becomes Playable in Newest Honkai: Star Rail Banner Refresh

Kafka was first introduced as a story-exclusive character in Honkai: Star Rail, being the first character your chosen protagonist meets. This limited-time combat role also features a single, scripted battle, the first battle of the game in-fact, therefore it was known she would be playable at some point… just when? As part of Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2, there was two planned warp (gacha) banners, encompassing Blade in the first half, and as of recent days, Kafka being playable in the second half.

Kafka, a character with a strong fanbase from my perspective, is now available for a limited time as part of the Nessun Dorma warp banner. She is a lightning-element character of the Nihility path, the path associated with characters providing debuffs or weakening foes through different means. As you can tell from the image above, I was keen to nab her, even if ultimately needing to rely on a 90-pull pity.

In addition to potentially recruiting the character through either receiving the blessing of lady luck or through Honkai: Star Rail’s pity system, players also have the opportunity to add the following 4-star characters to their party: Sampo (Wind / Nihility), Serval (Lightning / Erudition), and the newly introduced Luka (Physical / Nihility).

You can see more of Kafka in action via the trailer below:

Being the new 4-star character, Luka also received a new trailer:
