Genvid Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment has today unveiled a fresh trailer for their new project, Silent Hill: Ascension. This interactive streaming series, set within the Silent Hill universe, is expected to debut later this year.
Silent Hill: Ascension takes players on a chilling journey through locations around the world, following multiple main characters haunted by a new array of terrifying monsters. These ominous creatures, shrouded in darkness, threaten to engulf individuals, their children, and entire towns as they grapple with recent horrific incidents and deeply buried guilt and fears.
The story is set to give the audience a critical role in the events that unfold, with claims that “the actions of millions will determine the outcome. By the time the last scene streams, which characters have survived? Will those who are left be redeemed, damned, or suffer? Even the project’s creators do not know how SILENT HILL: Ascension will end. Instead, the character’s fates are in the audience’s hands“.
Starting later in 2023, Silent Hill: Ascension will feature daily live story moments, ensuring each day differs from the last, based on audience participation and choices.

Echoing Navok’s enthusiasm, Motoi Okamoto, a producer of the Silent Hill series at Konami Digital Entertainment, affirmed that the project would bring a fresh, interactive story in uncharted locations, with new characters to the franchise:
