Netmarble has rolled out a new update for their mobile RPG Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, which continues the legacy set by the original Level-5 duology which was a collaboration between them and legendary animation studio, Studio Ghibli. This update sets out to introduce new content, including a new episode, costumes, a familiar, and a variety of in-game events for players to enjoy.
The latest addition to the game, titled Goldbeard’s Treasure Island, invites players to explore Treasure Island by defeating the pirate-turned-Kraken, Goldbeard. This episode offers exclusive storylines and Reputation Quests, as well as solo and five-player dungeon marine warfare. Upon clearing the dungeon, players will receive Episode EXP, the Palm Tree Island Puzzle Pack, and a 4★ Purrloiner, depending on their tier.
As their journey through the Vermuda Archipelago continues, players can discover equipment rewards such as Pirate Badges, Pirate Code Piece Chest, and Suspicious Key. The Telescope skill, which can be levelled up using Episode EXP, allows players to research the skills they need to progress through the episode.
The Episode Pass offers a number of rewards, including a 4★ Purrloiner, the First Mate title, and Familiar Summon Coupons. A Premium Pass is also available for this episode, featuring rewards like toys for 4★ Familiar, a Luxurious Palm Tree Island Puzzle Pack, and Pirate Badges. The update also brings new cosmetic-themed items, such as the Pirate Hat, Pirate Outfit, a Pirate-themed mount called “Surfskipper,” and a new 4★ Rare Petal – an Earth & Support type Familiar that boosts the hero’s basic attack damage and grants Fairy’s Blessing to increase attack speed.
In addition to the new content, three limited-time events have been introduced for players to participate in:
Find the Secret Navigation Log!: Through a simple mission, the event item ‘Navigation Log’ can be acquired. These can be exchanged for ‘Goldbeard’s Hat’, ‘Crystal Orb Summon Coupon’, ‘Miraculous Crystal Orb Warding Doll’ and more.
Purrloiner Power Up Event: Players can power up PurrloinerIn and obtain various growth items such as 4★Purrloiner, and Jelly Bottle.
Catch Pirate King Cluu! Event: The mini game can be played using the Catch Pirate King Cluu!! Event Tickets. Items such as the 6★Toy Chest, Familiar Summon Coupon, Toy Combining Kit can be acquired.
