Capcom have made several new announcements for their release of Resident Evil 6 – initially launched on the Playstation 3 and XBox360 back in early-October. The first announcement is about just when PC games will be able to dive into the Resident Evil experience. Unfortunately…. there is still quite a bit of waiting to go with Capcom confirming the intended release date is the 22nd March 2013 as a digital download in North America – while European PC gamers can purchase both the digital and physical editions on the same date.
Both the digital and retail versions of the PC game will contain all the content found in the original console release plus receive any additions contained in any free title updates such as Ada Wong’s campaign being accessible from the outset and the No Hope difficulty mode. In addition, the digital version will take advantage of Steam functionality including: Cloud Saving, Steam Achievements, Friends Support, Game Overlay and Leaderboards.
